Put a professional temporary radio station on air without having to build the technical chain from scratch.
Our RSL studio hire package gives you the core equipment, setup support and broadcast workflow needed for a short-term Restricted Service Licence. It is designed for community groups, event stations, trial services, charities, churches, schools, colleges and local organisations that want to sound credible from day one.

A ready-to-use RSL radio studio
Running an RSL can be rewarding, but the technical setup can quickly become a distraction. You need a studio that presenters can understand, audio that sounds consistent, clear off-air monitoring and a reliable route from microphone to transmitter.
RadioContent provides a compact, practical RSL studio and transmission package that can be installed at your site, configured for your station and supported during your broadcast period.
The package is suitable for short-term FM RSL services where you need a temporary but professional studio environment without buying equipment outright.

Designed for presenters, not engineers
The studio is designed to be straightforward for volunteers and presenters to operate. Clear mic-live and on-air indicators help avoid common mistakes, while the touchscreen playout system provides a familiar broadcast workflow for music, jingles, beds and programme items.
Before launch, we configure the main levels, basic playout settings, RDS information and transmission chain so the system is ready for your broadcast period.
How it works
- Planning: We discuss your proposed site, programme needs, antenna position, power availability and setup date.
- Pre-configuration: The studio, processor, transmitter and RDS settings are prepared before installation.
- Delivery and setup: We install the studio and transmission chain at your location, then test the full route from microphone to off-air reception.
- On-air operation: Your team uses the studio during the RSL period, with support available for the supplied equipment.
- End of hire: At the end of the broadcast, we de-rig and collect the equipment.
Licensing and responsibilities
You remain responsible for applying for your Ofcom RSL licence and for complying with all licence conditions, including content, technical operation, advertising rules and any specific conditions attached to your licence.
We can advise on the practical technical requirements of the studio and transmission setup, but the licence itself remains with the applicant.
